Cinderella's app

Comp 1

Design Process

Cinderella, a character known for her humility and compassion, is used to caring for others and rarely takes time for herself. This outfit selection app gives her the opportunity to engage in something unfamiliar to her. Given her optimistic and ambitious nature, the app offers a space to explore her personal style in a fun and tailored way, while maintaining a simple and pleasant design experience. Much like the fairy godmother, the app acts as a magical anchor in times of need- providing her with the tools to choose the perfect look and feel confident as she heads to the ball.

The Problem

Cinderella lacks time and experience in the world of fashion, and she needs a tool that will help her choose the most suitable outfit for important events in a short amount of time, while also reflecting her personal style.

The Solution

The app’s solution focuses on providing a simple and intuitive experience that helps Cinderella choose the perfect outfit for the ball, saving time while tailoring the look to her personal style. The app features a friendly interface that guides her step by step- from selecting a personalized dress, to adding accessories and shoes, and finally presenting the complete look. Key features include a countdown timer that encourages quick decision-making, along with a user experience that emphasizes simplicity, aesthetics, and the magical charm that fits Cinderella’s world.

User scenario

Interview with Cinderella

(AI Simulation)

If you had an app to choose your ball outfit, what would you want it to do?

"I would want it to help me choose an outfit that combines simplicity and elegance—something that truly reflects who I am.
The most important thing is to feel comfortable and confident, while keeping that sense of magic alive."

Do you have a moment when you felt the most insecure about yourself?
How did you manage to overcome it?

“At the ball, I felt out of place—but I found confidence by remembering that I belong, not because of how I look, but because of who I am.”

Did you ever feel like you weren’t meant to be a princess? What changed that feeling?

“At first, I didn’t feel like I belonged. But that changed when I saw the prince again after the ball—and he remembered me for our conversations, not just the dress.”

What gives you self-confidence? Is it related to your appearance, your personality, or something else?

“My confidence comes from believing in myself. The dress helped, but deep down I know I deserve love—just as I am.”

How did you handle the pressure as midnight approached? Did you do anything to stay calm?

“It was a stressful moment, but I tried to stay calm and reminded myself that the most important thing was to leave on time. Keeping my composure helped me manage the tension.”
